Makakwute Energy Resources Limited is a renowned Company focusing on downstream sectors of the Nigerian Oil and Gas industry and commodity trades such as Gold, Diamond and related products and services.
Our objective is to provide solutions backed with the latest technologies that provide full value to the clients. We have formed close associations with NNPC terminals and reputed vendors that enable us to meet the most challenging demands of the clients in terms of specific solutions and on time deliveries.
Our focus is mainly on trade and supply of the following products:
- Bonny Light Crude Oil
- Automotive Gas Oil (AGO)
- Jet Fuel JP54
Bonny Light Crude Oil (BLCO)
Bonny Light Crude Oil (BLOC) remains popular because of its sulfur content properties, the API gravity for Bonny Light is 35-37 degrees and the sulfur content is 0.14%. The current bbl/mt conversion factor for BLCO is 7.526. Since the history of oil discovery, Bonny Light Crude Oil features as the crude product with the lowest sulfur content in the oil industry. In this regard, low sulfur content makes refinery procedures easy and economical.
In technical application of finished petroleum, sulfur tends to poison anti-knock additives in engine fuels. This means that low sulfur results in poisoning of the anti-knock agents; hence efficient burning of fuels in combustion engines. In addition, easy processing reduces emission of poisonous affluent to the environment. With respect to environmental concerns, reduced emissions of pollutants contribute towards mitigation of global warming effects. All these positive qualities are the reasons for popularity of this light oil in subject. Presently, Bonny Light crude oil remains the most environmentally suitable type of crude oil for obtaining gasoline and heating gas.
We have developed a strong source of supply through co-operation with equity producers and NNPC terminals and reputed vendors; by maintaining a close working relationship, we are able to secure long-term commitments in this area, which is of great importance in world crude oil supply.

The Automotive Gas Oil (AGO)
The Automotive Gas Oil (AGO), is the name given to fuel intended for use in road vehicles (trucks, buses, vans and cars) powered by diesel engines.
AGO is used in three main types of vehicle:
- Heavy-duty vehicles, such as trucks and buses
- Light-duty vehicles, such as vans and passenger cars.
- . It can also be use to power generators.
Diesel engines are widely used in heavy-duty vehicles; such vehicles are often operated in fleets and are refueled centrally with AGO delivered directly from the supplier. In the light duty vehicle sector, recent advances in engines design, allow light duty diesel engines to complete with gasoline on performance grounds. Light duty vehicles are generally refueled through retail outlets. Although the emphasis differs, in both sectors, customers are interested in AGO that is economical, provides power, reliability and environmentally acceptability.
We supply only Ultra-Low Sulfur Diesel 50PPM An advanced performance fuel, complying with the SANS 342 (2006) specification, 50ppm (mg/Kg)) ultra-lower Sulfur content distillate fuel. Ultra-Low Sulfur Diesel 50PPM has been, formulated to include an exclusive additive package that enhances the characteristics of the fuel. Ultra-Low Sulfur Diesel 50PPM is designed to deliver a unique combination of enhanced engine performance and reduced exhaust emissions. Ultra-Low Sulfur Diesel 50PPM is primarily recommended for use in all modern passenger cars and sport utility diesel engines.
Application and Benefits Ultra-Low Sulfur Diesel 50 PPM is an optimum performance fuel, and therefore also recommended for use in road transport; Agriculture; Construction & Earthmoving; Mining; Stationary Industrial applications (Power Generation); Marine & Railroad.
Core Benefits Are: Improvement to air quality due to greater reduction in tailpipe emissions gases. Higher reduction in particulate matter (PM), which contributes to exhaust black smoke Lower Sulfates reduce the tendency for acidic corrosion. Better cleaning power, cleaning the injection system and allows better combustion Reduces downtime of maintaining the fuel system components

Jet Fuel Jet fuel, aviation turbine fuel, is a type of aviation fuel designed for use in aircraft powered by gas-turbine engines. It is colorless to straw-colored in appearance. The most commonly used fuels for commercial aviation are Jet A and Jet A-1, which are produced to a standardized international specification. The only other jet fuel commonly used in civilian turbine-engine powered aviation is Jet B, which is used for its enhanced cold-weather performance.
Jet fuel is a mixture of a large number of different hydrocarbons. The range of their sizes (molecular weights or carbon numbers) is defined by the requirements for the product, such as the freezing or smoke point. Kerosene type jet fuel (including Jet A and Jet A-1) has a carbon number distribution between about 8 and 16 (carbon atoms per molecule); wide-cut or naphtha type jet fuel (including Jet B), between about 5 and 15.
Our Jet Fuel JP54 is high on purity, is the best in the aviation industry, it maximizes the desired performance, also conforms to the highest industrial standards.
We supply both grades of the Jet Fuel:
- Jet Fuel JP54 (Aviation Kerosene Colonial Grade 54)
- Jet Fuel A1 91/91.

Traditionally used as one of the highest forms of currency, gold is now used as investment property in computer technology, electronic, dentistry, medicine, aerospace and jewelry. The major worldwide gold producers are South Africa, U.S. Australia, China, Indonesia, Russia and Ghana.
The trade markets influence based on the many uses and by-products of gold
Underproduction worldwide against the high demand for gold
Possible gold shortfall based on usage.
As you may already know, gold is considered a safe haven in the investment world. This means that it tends to maintain its price or even to gain value when the other financial markets are in difficulty.
This was particularly the case at the beginning of the economic crisis in 2008 with a real surge in the price of an ounce of gold.
In this sense, investing in gold over the long term is a good way to secure investment by minimizing risk. However, it is better to buy gold at the right time if your investment horizon is more than a few years that is to say to buy it while its price is relatively low as it is the case right now.
